Fall River Road Home Targeted By Burglars

Residents of Fall River Road in Leoma requested police assistance last week after discovering that their home had been targeted by burglars.

Deputies with the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department were sent to the scene where the residents reported their home had been burglarized while they were gone between 12:15 and 7:30 p.m.

When they entered the home, the residents noticed that some items were missing. Stolen were a money jar containing around $300, a payroll check, mini iPad, engagement ring, and prescription medications.

Reports show that the culprit had entered through a back door, breaking through the chain lock and causing minor damage.

Total loss in the case is said to be in excess of $3,000.

A green glove with the fingers cut out was found lying on the floor in the home. The residents said it did not belong to either of them.

Investigation in the case is on-going at the current time. Anyone with information pertinent to the investigation is encouraged to contact the sheriff’s department at 931-762-3626.
